what's the point of measuring our IQ?i mean is it a way to find smart-er(then usual) people and have them invent ''things'' to make our life easier or to find solutions for todays(human's) problems?or is it just a way to find new members for social clubs, for smart people who spend time drinking coffee and talk all day???

I guess its just a way of determining our status. What we are capible of. IQ tests can be handy, depending on what areas you excel in. For example. When it comes to university studies. For someone studying to be a geography teacher. That person studying would have to reach a certain level of IQ to take up that position of 'geography teacher' I don't believe IQ tests are really necessary. Infact i believe that its just a way of ruling out $ncome, social status and dedication. It changes everything if you are wealthy and can afford a proper education. You are also affected by what area you are situated in. The people you are influenced by in the community. I guess its a self-esteem issue too. What you think of yourself. No one likes being thought of dumb. Jobs would be so much easier to obtain if we didn't have to reply on our IQ or university degrees. There would be less people living on the street...jeez...your question got me thinking...answer just sorta started flowin outta nowhere. Smart people are only smart at certain things. They don't know the answers to life. Those who have grown a big head from having a high IQ are the most ignorant careless people you will even meet. They think they are the top of the food chain. Whereas the community of the lower IQ could act out...rebel...try to hide they don't know everything. Then there are those who wallow away in self pity and engulf low-self esteem issues...leading to anorexia, bulimia, self-harm...anything you can think of. They basically break off from the rest of the world. IQ Tests don't rule out how smart you are. They just rule out that you are willing to exceed at a certain area of studies.

I.Q. tests are important for institutions such as universities/hospitals and a measurement for work.

It could be a diagnoses if you are fit for a particular job or not.

Its not for bragging rights. Our I.Q.'s varies entirely in different given tests e.g. comprehension/abstract/computaion etc.

It identifies too of which are or criterion you excel in. As you might know that there are a lot of different peeps categorized as being intiverted/extroverted; procative/reactive. These are just brief examples. Hope i'd helped.

I understand your curiosity. That's a good question. I don't really know what the point might be. I don't think that smart people sit around drinking coffee all day. Look at the scientists that are finding cures for diseases. They must be smart.
