Silver Springs and Weeki Wachee are a little over an hour apart...You could do oth in a day but with kids on a warm day, you may want to stay a little longer at one and not have alot of time at the other.... Weeki Wachee admission now allows Buccaneer Bay (water park) after it opens (March 17)

I did a long time ago, I think you could do both in one day but you might miss a few things. I loved weeki watchee as a kid and took mine there over 10 years ago. They loved it too. No other place like it. Disney is great but these places offer the nature of Florida. The other place was Crystal River? I think? You get to see manatees up close.
