We had bases all over the world as a leftover from the cold war. It was necessary to have troops positioned to deter Soviet aggression. The majority of the bases exist with the consent of the host country and are not forced on them. However the number of foreign bases and amount of troop strength are reducing now that this threat no longer exists. There are still areas where we need to maintain a large troop levels, such as the Middle East, but I think it is time we brought our troops from Europe home. As to why no countries have troops or bases in the United States. This is a simple answer. The United States has not required foreign assistance in protecting our homeland since the Revolutionary War.

Well, the simple answer is that no other nation has either had cause to request to establish a base here - like a victory over us on OUR land - or no other nation has made the request to establish a base here because they simply don't need to.
Most of the bases we have overseas are there because of either an agreement made by the US and the host nation for the presence of the base, or the base was established after we defeated that nation in a war. The bases in Japan and Germany fit the latter category; the other bases we have are there mostly at the request of the host nation.
Besides, just how well do you think the American public would react to the announcement that the German government was going to establish a military base on US soil?
Can you say "outrage?"

Actually, we do have foreign troops here. We train many foreign military here and have guest officer trade agreements. I worked with a number of Aussie officers when I was in the military and had a friend that was assigned in Canada on an officer exchange program. I met many foreign officers assigned to the states over the years.

u.s. only likes to press domicile it is dominance interior the international. They dont go with any usa to take over because the most helpful usa. people have continually been jealous of england as we had an empire that they could only dream of. Their heritage spans no longer a lot more desirable than 500 years even as Britain can boast a heritage going lower back round 2000 years. people are uneducated and brainwashed compared to British way of life and class. each and every of the individuals can depart the international as a legacy is McDonalds and Walmart, even as the British gave the international democracy and a justice equipment that has been copied in maximum countires all over the realm. And to precise all of it they voted for Bush two times....there is not any wish left.

America is the only superpower in the world, although China is approaching that status. We have been the worlds policeman for many years. Who stopped the war in Kosovo?America provided 95% of troops and equipment. No one else is able to help.

We don't need them. We have them in other countries at that country's agreement.
For example, our troops in Germany have been there since WWII. The German government has asked that our troops be there. They tend to bring economic activity.

That's not entirely true. There are foreign military stationed at US military bases. All NATO countries have officers stationed in the US as a joint training mission and in weapons research.
In less sensitive areas, there are even non-NATO forces stationed in US military bases, where they are allowed limited spying activity.

They do have troops here, they just don't advertise as well. They are snakes in the grass. Remember 9/11.
