Abortion is a medical procedure that should ONLY be discussed between the woman and her doctor. I have no right to infringe in her privacy. I wouldnt want anyone to violate MY rights and tell me what to do with my body. I have no right taking away a person's rights, born or unborn.

But I am AGAINST abortion. I totally DESPISE abortion and if I were a woman Id never have one. BUT I am not a woman and would never know how it is to be one and wont JUDGE the circumstances of their abortion: whether they were raped, whether the pregnancy will hurt her and the child's health, psychiatric problems or whatever. It is NOT my business. It is a medical procedure btwn her and her doctor, a medical professional.

Im not pretentious to think that others cant think for theirselves to be morally right. I have belief in other people and the choices they make. Taking away freedom to choose would kill the idealogy of what America stands for.
I am pro choice, since Jesus said not to judge.

answerman..thanks for agreeing..but there are lots of women who have abortions not because they don't want their pregnancy but because they have to due to medical illness on their part or the baby's part.
AGAIN, i wouldn't know the details because it is a medical procedure btwn both of them. The point is it should be taken on a case by case basis and no one should be pretentious enough to think they can go into anyone else's business, including mine.

It makes perfect sense to me, I think that abortion is the poorest means of birth control that there is, it is killing a baby, however I do not want my government to legislate morality. It really is not anyone's business but the female and the Dr. involved. I agree with you that it is no ones job to judge others for what they do with their own morality. I personally though do not think abortion is the right answer to an unwanted pregnancy. I have two adopted nephews that I am proud of and I am glad that their mothers chose not to abort them.

Actually, it makes total since to me because I feel exactly the same way. I would not choose abortion for myself, except, perhaps under an extreme life or death medical situation, but I do not agree that the government should force its brand of morality down someone elses throat when they have no idea what the individual circumstances are.

Your stance is shared by many, and yes, it does make sense. I do a lot of pro-choice work, and the only thing I can urge you to do is to speak your beliefs and vote for pro-choice candidates when it's polling time. Don't be quiet about your feelings on this issue- EVER! You might not agree with the choice a woman makes, but it's still her choice and you seem to totally understand this. As a pro-choice activist and woman, I thank you!

You also sound like you have some religious background. There are lots of religious groups who are pro-choice advocates as well. Maybe you might look into seeing what they're all about. :)

I feel the same way. I am a woman and I think I could never live with deciding for an abortion even if there were difficult circumstances, but I also think it can't be banned because I can't decide that for other women.

Its all pro choice if you really look at it. You either choose to kill the baby or do the right thing. I cant imagine anyone acually being against life. Why dont the guy ever want the baby?

Sure it does, and it's perfectly logical no matter what anyone says.

You're pro-choice, which means you believe that people have the right to make their own choice based on what they believe. You have made your choice based on what you believe, and you don't believe in or support abortion.

Good for you. Nice to see someone else with a level head on this sensitive issue for a change.

Nothing but agreement over here. And I'm a woman. And I have 2 (perfectly wonderful) kids.

Thank you. Its good for people to have thier own opinions and to have their own beliefs. Its very respectful that even though you do not like abortion, you believe in letting people make thier own decisions with their own bodies.

Agree with you 100%. I would not choose it for myself, but I respect others rights to make their own decisions.

To the person who said he is pro-choice and said Jesus said not to judge, He also said not to kill. How can you love Jesus and support the womans choice to kill?
