I've kept my sons curl from his first hair cut, oh and the chunk I took out of his ear! Please can I have a lock of yours Mr. Baldilocks? ;)

About 7 or 8 years ago, living in sydney, my older sister and i used to go bike riding to the Seven Eleven around the block from our house. Behind the 7-11 was a paddock where the council had placed a horse to eat the grass on the land that was soon to be used to build a block of units and townhouses. My sister and i would go there each day after school and look after the horse, feeding it oats and carrots...something a bit better than just grass. We would also keep an eye on its water supply coz no one else came to look after the horse. We would brush it and everything like it was our own and even named it Brumby...lol...We cut off a lock of the horses mane and kept it as a keepsake as we knew sadly that the horse wasn't going to be on the property forever. A few months later, the council came and took the horse away and the building of the townhouses and units commenced. I still have that lock of hair to this day :)

My parents kept a lock of hair from when I was a baby and it is in a baby book.

I've never understood the attraction of keeping a lock of someone's hair. I think my mom has some from my first hair cut. It just seems kinda weird.

while i became tiny i had long hair. aparently while i became 2 i've got been given ahold of a pair of sissers. i decrease off all of my eye-catching hair *tear*. my mom kepts it in jar in a cabinet some the place. i got here across a on an identical time as in the past, and have been given a historical past lesson!!!! lol

I have lock of my mums hair in a jar in her house! It's from before she went grey too! I have no idea why I have it :/ She also has a lock of mine in a baby book.

yes My mom kept mine for me as a child, and i have kept a lock from all three of my kids first haircut

As I'm almost completely bald, the only lock of hair I will hang on to is the stuff above my ears; this is where it still grows thickest!

Yes...My Childrens....each one saved in their baby books from their first haircuts...
I also have some of my own hair....when I was 16...I had my hair to my butt....kind of where it is now...lol....& I got tired of it...so I asked my Mom to cut it for me....she did...& then kept what she cut off....
Mom made a wig for a doll she was redoing...out of the hair she kept....When I turned 30, Mom gave the doll to me...it is really cool...
