Right after my Grandma died in 2000....my Daughter who was 13 mo's old was diagnosed with Cancer....
I had to leave my job, so I could take care of her....My Mom helped as much as she could, but she lived across town & My Ex Husband left during this time...it was too much for him to handle...
I was walking EVERYDAY for 2 1/2 hrs to the catch the city bus so I could take my Daughter to specialists & things like that....the bus rides would take us 2-3 hrs...which by car...would only take us 20 min's.....
I got to talking to the bus driver a few of those rides....& he was real upset at what I was having to go through....
He talked to the Preacher at his church about us....who then put us on the Prayer list, got a few donations together of diapers, formula, clothes, & money......
Then he talked to a few of the members of the church....one of which was a car salesman....& as a surprise, after walking all the way to the bus stop.....he had the guy waiting for us, with a car, that he just gave to me....just so I could get my Daughter to where she needed to be.....
My Daugher is now in remission & things are looking good...I am still friends with the people from the church & the bus driver....Thanks to him...I had my faith in people & God restored....I was a VERY angry person before then....
I try to be nice to everyone, but there are some people I will go out of my way to help to the best of my ability....

So you can tell when people are reflecting self love and knowledge, and hold you as a 'great being' all from a look from their eyes? I'll continue to give more credibility to their words and actions over the looks they give me or staring into their eyes. And what does seeing God in them have anything to do with respecting another human being? The kindest thing you can do to another person is to treat them with dignity and respect. Or tailoring what you do for them according to what they need.

Hello,
This kindness act someone done for me was in 1992- My husband and I so far away from our home Vancouver Canada and we were in a MVA in Cozad Nebraska. After being trapped for more than 3 hours in our Semi truck, taking to hospital.
My husband in coma in other hospital (maybe 50 miles apart).
This lady bought me shoes, clothes and drove me to my husband.
Never ever will I forget her nor others whom helped us out of a real bad situation.
And therefore I live with the same model, helping unknown people all over.
Give what was given to you - Strength, knowledge, love and the warmth of trust that someone somewhere really does care.
Truly guardian angels are out there.

I stopped in an office doorway when shopping in London and when i walked off i accidently left my handbag behind. I went back into the last visited shop to see if it had been handed in, it hadn't and i was panicking. It had my keys, phone, money and train ticket in it, and i had no way of getting home. When i walked passed the office doorway, the doorman of the office recognised me and brought my bag out to me.
This doesn't beat yours but it was a true show of kindness.

One time I needed a boost to start my car. It was a Sunday morning and not a lot of people were around. This fella stopped and helped me. Now when ever I see a stranded motorist, I stop and see if I can get them going. Even just to let them use my mobile phone (or "cell" phone to you N. Americans!)

wow! that was really nice. mine is nothing compared to that, but still, i found it nice.
i just got of the train and was about to cross the very busy street to get to my school. i was standing there waiting for the stoplight to change when the rain suddenly poured! it came down hard and i quickly tried to take out my umbrella. but this nice lady already with an umbrella quickly stand next to me until i got out my own umbrella. if it wasn't for her, i'd be dripping wet in school!

sounds totally silly, but considering the time factor: the guy in front of me on a VERY busy road in atlanta, at a tollbooth paid for my toll.
think about this for a sec, he never saw me, does not know me, no interaction between us took place, it was not an accident 'cuz the attendant told me he paid for me once i got to the window. why do that???!!!
