Just watched Kill Bill Vol I and did'nt get it? I'm not a thick person and I think quite deeply into the plots and subplots of films.....and I enjoy reading between the lines but surely I can't be wrong in thinking that this film is ****????
Or is it crap intentionally like the black and white fight scene where the 'blood' is obviously water.....am I reading too much into it or are you supposed to take this film seriouisly?

i have completely studied this film, so i might be able to answer many questions about them. Pipi... was on the right track... Tarantino has mixed up many different types of film genres into the Kill Bill series, including the 70s Japanese martial arts. In most of the classic japanese films from that era, the blood was overexaggerated and "unrealistic"... hence the reason for the blood in Kill Bill... the first time i saw it, i thought the same way.. but after really looking into this, i realized he did this intentionally.
i mean, cmon... its the 21st c... im sure he wouldnt have intentionally made blood spilling look like fountains lol

I have to say that I'm not a violent film lover, but KB had so much that it was watching a cartoon in the end - so unrealistic, yet an interesting story....I have to say, to my shock and horror, I did actually enjoy it....dunno if I would watch it again though!

KB2 is not as good as the first - if you didn't like the first, don't bother with the second!

Quentin Tarantino made this movie as an homage to martial arts films of the 70's... The yellow track suit is like the one Bruce Lee wore in Game of Death.

I guess you probably had to be around in the 70's to actually get what he was going for and understand it.

Stupid movie, then again i do not like unrealistic movies. A female fighting about 30 others and beats them all, ohhh PPPlease really silly movie. But entertaining.

It's a 2 part’er so maybe you should wait until you see the second part before you judge it to harshly.

On the other hand it just be that your thick and it's a little bit to high brow for you.

i watched both parts and i understood completely. some of the support stuff, cinematography, direction, fight sequencing etc was good. however as a whole i think they were terrible movies.
