Ok I have never really had hunger pains until the last few months. I can eat and then not even 3 hours later I feel as if I'm starving. I used to be able to eat like twice a day and not have any pains. Why now? I know I'm not pregnant either (already tested).

I know exactly what you mean. I've gone through that a few times. Usually it happened while I was going through some kind of growth spurt. I would wake up 2 hours after my mom sent me to bed because I was starving! even though I had a really good dinner and snacks.

I'm in my mid twenties now and still sometimes go through it. I have no idea what causes it.

Just make sure to eat healthy foods. This will give you the opportunity to eat lots of fruits and veggies.

You might just be thirsty. Sometimes thirst feels like hunger pains. Try a drink. You may be surprised that it will relieve your hunger pain. A good cup of milk, chocolate milk or liquid yogurt (Yoplait) may be all you need.

You have to remember though, that three hours is a long time since your last meal and you may be in fact hungry. The activities you may be in now is more demanding on your body than in the past that your body requires more energy, hence using up what you ate already. Try eating 5 to 6 small meals a day. Its a healthier choice and you will avoid hunger pains. A fruit is a nutritious "filler" for those hunger pains. It has no bad fat and it will give you vitamin C!

Good Luck!

Please keep your water consumption in check, at this time of year you are probally dehydrated, If you are not aware of it, sometimes our bodies confuse hunger with thurst, so, please try that.

Have a glass of water when this happens, it's most likely that you are thursty. Plus water is good for you, you cant have too much.
