Tom failed to tell me that. He would only say it once a week if i remember it properly. That's why i dumped him hard.

Hey i get it.. But what if you say it and they just ignore it, no love you too or something but it's something else, for example, i say i love you to Tom, then he would say, anyways i have to go to the grocery shop later on and buy myself some..

I say it all the time to my family, constantly. They say it as much too. My reasoning is this: anyone could drop dead at any given moment. If it happens to be me, there will be no contemplating of whether or not I loved them. Besides, you never know if it will be your last I love you.

Saying the words is only part of how you make someone feel loved. As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words. I hope you had more than just this reason to let him go. Did he treat you with respect? Did he show an interest in you and the things that were important to you? Were you loving to him?

It's a tough one. I think they do need to be said of course, but I was brought up to say them only now and again and really mean it. My hubby on the other hand used to say them every day, and to me it felt like it had become a habit and seemed not to be sincere. If the words are reinforced with loving deeds and actions then it is wonderful, but let's face it, the words themselves are........ well......just words. A lot of people will say those words for different reasons.

Yes by Family, Your Boyfriend or Girlfriend, and your Friends .. we as people a lot of times forget to say that word often to each other and then we regret it when we lose that person and can't say it to them . would love when someone says that word to me they really really mean it. You can say it all you want but i would love for someone to say it and show it at the same times it is definitely easier to say something and don't mean it "Actions Speak Louder Than Words"

You or we should be told I love you everyday, at least twice a day and hugs are important also. I call my mom everyday just to say I love you, just in case she dies suddenly then she will leave this world knowing that she was loved. Any mate that can't say I love you often doesn't deserve you.

No, I'm happy. My friend reminds me that she loves me every night that I talk to her, and I also remind her that I love her too. :)
A little love from other people would be nice, but I can only take love from a select amount of people. I don't especially want strangers coming up to me and telling me they love me. ;)

No I don't like it when it is expected. For example getting of the phone, multiple times a day, boring.

No chick... those 3 little words are over-used and under-valued in this day and society... I'd much rather hear it when it is actually 'meant' ... more genuine...
