I believe that it is a sign of strength to show your true feelings about anything to anyone. Mainly because you do not know exactly how that person will react and also because not many people are willing to show how they really feel to another person. I believe that more people should be willing to show their true feelings to anyone as it is better to know what a person really feels rather than not being entirely sure. I know some people would say it is weakness, but that is because they are afraid to show what they truly feel, either because they are afraid of the consequences or because they believe that other people will judge them badly on what they really feel.

I think it's a strength, definitely. People can use your true feelings against you, so it's like showing someone your achilles heel but knowing that despite them knowing your weaknesses you can still come through it and probably learn stuff as well. Definitely a sign of strength.

I think it depends on three things. time/ Place. the way youshow the emotions and who you show them too.

I really only show my true feelings to my husband on everything because i know i can trust him not to use it against me and to try and help me out, without blabbing behind my back to the staff in the office.

I have a couple of good friends at work that i share some stuff with but not everything because i don't feel they need to know everything!!

I also have a very good friend that i grew up with i tell her the majority of stuff and she tells me - i think that is how it works - eg - when we had problems with condoms breaking as teenagers we both rang each other for support. ( she lives 100 miles away)

I don't think you could go into your bosses office and stamp your feet and cry because you didn't get a job promotion! Also moaning to everyone you meet in the office probably wouldn't be the best way to go about it.
but you probably could go home and blub on your bessie mates shoulder or your family.

I definately think that you shouldn't bottle up your emotions though - keeping them inside leads to health problems - physical and emotional.

It's not always appropriate to show your true feelings. What if you just take a dislike to someone and you know there's no reason for it,and that you are entirely to blame for those feelings because they just remind you of someone that was once horrible to you. You wouldn't make them uncomfortable because of your own silliness would you? Also feelings can be connected to other things such as certain bodily functions : hunger, sex, illness and even time of day. So I think feelings are very delicate things that can effect others so we must value them and weigh them up very carefully before we share them.

I don't think that revealing your true feelings, no matter what the situation may be, will ever show weakness. It takes a strong person to openly admit and talk about something as personal as "true feelings".

Strength, maturity, stability and self control. But be careful, some people specialise in the use of people's emotions to get what they want!

showing your true feelings to someone can be totally unnecessary, and irrelevant.
other times it can be pertinent, honest, and intimate.
its a strength to say "ifeel hurt" angry,or whatever you feel.
If your feelings are about you,and only you, which may be totally selfish,so its best not to indulge in selfishness, but can be usefull if you get good feedback, and you are able to take it on board.
all i can suggest is that you enjoy your journey of self discovery, and just be honest.
