It depends upon how you define life. Life does go on after we die--it's just not our life.

Once the life i lived was full of gaiety and a trust i had no reason to explain, until the day someone fell on me and caused my life much pain, the day in which my gaiety turned into a tear shed and washed away the land i stood upon . the day came with hope renewed and i remained alive. from the end and through great effort to hold on to the promise. I live again wiser now to watch ,liston and speak. Joy returned, the life lived has passed away and never to return in this new day. for i can say for sure that what i know was and is so.A.M.H.

No one really knows as people who have died have not come back to tell us about it.As per the Bible after death we either go to heaven or hell depending our deeds on this earth.Islam also more or less follows the same belief. We have only one life to live.
But the ancient Hindu religion says that this life is only one of the many lives we have lived or will live.We come back to this earth again and again till we are rid of all the desires and are ready to met our Maker.
Life after death is a very debatable topic. Our belief depend on our experiences and to some extent on the religion we follow.
There are many books available on this topic in almost all
religions of the world.Perhaps they will help you to form your own beliefs.

As far as I can tell yes. You have a living person, they die and then decompose. People talk about not knowing were people go after they die, Which is rather odd because nothing actuly goes anywhere. All that made up the person is still there, its just stop working.

If our bodies are permitted to "break down" after we die, then the bits and pieces become part of the earth which feeds other animals and provides sources of fuels that help keep us warm and drive cars........... many of us may be more helpful in death than in life?

It may be the end of life on earth as we know it, but I don't believe it is really the end. I believe in God and heaven.
