My 4 and a half mo old son has the same problem. My fiance came up with the idea of vaseline. I wasn't sure about that idea at first but if you use a little amount you can rub it in to where it won't be greasy. It works too. I didn't want to put any lotions on his face or anything that had a fragrance because I was scared it would irritate it. I didn't even trust baby lotion because it has a fragrance. Plus with the vaseline already being in the house it saved us from going out and buying something! Vaseline was a great alternative!

my son is about to turn 3 months old and I notice dry skin a lot too. I usually use either nivea or baby aveeno, both work really well and hydrate the skin.

sorbalene cream, very economical and recommended for babes with dermatitis and exzema .you can also use it as an alternative to soap. it feels a bit thick but does rub in well.you can geta glycerine sorbalene mix, thats not quite as gluggy.they both are very good for dry skin.
