The nearest I ever came to being read a bedtime story when I was a child would have been in year one of primary school, when it was story time right after watching "Play School". IMy favourite book then was "Wombat Stew" and still I consider it one of my classics books I will always love reading.

No. There were 4 of us under the age of 5, so I guess it wouldn't have been an easy thing for my parents to do. I read my son a story every night...he doesn't care what I read, but likes stuff about dinosaurs and animals

I was read to til I was @ 8. My fave was...Treasure Island. My husband was NEVER read to as a kid. Our kids have never gone to bed without a bedtime story. Their faves tend to be about winnie the pooh and the mr men books. :)

yes my mother read us bed time stories all the time. Most Rohl Daul Charlie and the chocolate factory, Georges marvelous medicine, the BFG and Matilda. My favorite was The BFG because he talked really funny.
