First of all you don't have to go to a referral for a breast check even if you get one and second of all you probably should get your breasts checked because checking for lumps can decrease the risk of cancer substantially. If you check regularly and find the cancer early on it is much more easy to treat it. Also a lot of women your age don't like getting their breasts checked but it can be crucial to your health in the long term.
