Science will soon allow people to choose to turn on and turn off certain genes. Genes that not only affect disease and health, but what a person's sexuality is.

Should this be banned? Why?

No, I still think that it has more to do with enviroment than DNA. I think that only serious health issues should be addressed in gene selection not just because you want a baby with blue eyes.

Personally, I think that sexual orientation is a combination of internal and external factors. And it's just a preference.

There will always be homosexuality regardless of 'precautions' people take. It is also important to note that the people choosing the DNA make-up of their children will be the richest of the rich, and everyone else in the world will just continue to have babies the old fashioned way. I would like to see what happens when the rich folk still end up having gay children.

Why are people worried about the sexuality of their children anyway? Shouldn't they just want them to grow up and be happy? Sheesh!

first: for any rule and limitation there are several bypasses.
second: it is great to revise human genes, however further manipulations may change the concept of humans.(however right now i believe humanity is a relative matter)
so those bio-engineered humans would make a new Race, higher or lower!
finally Don't Defy Science Improvement, so not banishment is needed.(otherwise what's the difference of us with fools?)

According to our best judgment, there is no inheriting of homosexual traits. The both parents of every homosexual are heterosexual, so heredity does not seem to play a role.
If being homosexual were not strictly environmental, I would still say that it is partially a physical thing, but not inherited from a parent.

I don't think genes could affect who you decide to love in life. Thats not science...its heart. Its how we feel and think. I don't they could or ever should mess with that part of people.

Through the magic of in-vitro fertilization, lesbians are having kids of their very own.

So, will they choose for their children to be gay?

I hope so, I love lesbians. If it weren't for lesbians, we wouldn't have sweet, satisfying, sapphic pornography.

It should be banned as variety is the spice of life.
