AT Protocol?? Are you sure you don't mean AT Command set as in that used with Modems? If so, you are refering to the Hayes 'Protocol' or commands that most modems accept. Not sure what the AT stands for though...

ATP stands for application transfer protocol.Protocols are the set of rules that govern the nature of communication between two parties.and application part of this when transfer ed to other medium makes use of the application protocol.Actually there are seven layers in a osi (open system interconnect) model and application layer is one of those layers.The other six layers are physical,network,data link layer,session,presentation and transport layer
