A single Mom like myself moved into the house next to mine. We hit it off right away and she is a frequent visitor. The odd thing is I OFTEN catch her picking up my porcelian and glass nickknacks looking for makers marks. The other day she was in my living room and didnt hear me come out of the bedroom and I saw her wad up a piece of paper and quickly put it in her coat pocket. It fell out as she was leaving and on it she had written all the names of my paintings on the walls and the artists name. Any advice?

Not only is she nosey,but she sounds like a potential thief.I would no longer let her in your house.I would just say hi to her if you see her outside.She doesn't sound like someone you would want as a friend.

She sounds like BAD news. She shouldn't have been sneaking behind your back like that, and checking your things out. A list to me would mean that's going to get passed onto some of her "friends" so they know what to take when your away from home one of these day's. Make sure your place is SECURE and keep her out.

yea sounds like shes scoping your place out for a robbery to me. buy some cheap trinket at a flea market then tell her you took it to the antiques road show. say it appraised for thousands of dollars. conviently & carelessly leave it out in the open somewhere and hide a video camera then go to the bathroom and hope she takes the bait.

Ask her what she is up to.
She'll probably act dumb or deny it, ask if she is casing the place, cos that is what she seems to be up to.
