I'm sorry but, I have to chuckle at this, please excuse me. Is this "correct" you ask. My wife and I are retired. she has her hobbies. I do the housework, the cooking, etc and, I have my hobbies. You couldn't pay me enough to do the housework.
What does your friend pay his wife for doing the wash, ironing his clothes, making his meals, washing the dishes, cleaning the house, do you get the point because I know she can keep busy all day.
Don't ask me if this is correct, ask me if "he" should be on the account or if she should handle it like she does all the other affairs of his. And, my friend, we didn't get into the bedroom encounters or the kids if any. What price are they?

It's not wrong. However, I would advise the wife to secretly save some money in her own personal account in case the marriage turns sour and she needs money to fend for herself.

Why on earth would it be incorrect? If she wants to have access to the money to pay bills and such then the account has to have her name on it too.
When you get married it is not out of the ordinary to share an account.

Of course it's correct, you don't know their situation, maybe the husband prefers that his wife don't work, haven't you heard of whats yours is mine and whats mine is yours when in a relationship.

people are funny. There is no rule to the money game. Do whatever makes it a non argumenitive situation. they should by no means hide money from each other, but I say do what makes you both happy.

When you are married you share everything, but sometimes should have something that is won. like a saving account.

if that is what they chose to do, it is correct for them... there is no recipe for what works and what doesn't. People have different values, that should be respected
