I have spoken to him recently about it an he has said if would like to have a baby maybe oneday. I am a bit concerned about leaving it too late as he is getting on in age. What do you all reckon???

every tree has its fruit and children are the fruit of love and 7 ys are very enough that your love should begin to give you what you which--if you dont feel safe and secure till now whith him then there is no love

If he really doesn't want another child and only agrees to it to please you, that's hardly fair to bring a child into the world in such circumstances. However, if you are in a stable job and have family and friends to support you and your child should you need it, then go ahead.
Your partner's age is really only relevant as to raising the child for at least 18 years together and that would put him in his 60s. He may be fit and active so that he doesn't look his age. And 50 is the new 60 ! So, whatever you decide, I wish you well.

I'm 44 and I know that at my age, I wouldn't want to have another baby ... gawd, mine are just about ready to go off to college. No worries about little ones, and I'm free to do as I please.

Maybe your partner is stalling, hoping you'll give up on the baby thing? If he decides he doesn't want another baby, please, be understanding ... these are his "pre-golden" years, a time to enjoy his new-found freedom, while he's still relatively young. :)

EDIT: If he decides against it, I don't know what to tell you hun. I soooo feel for you ... you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Being a mother myself, I totally understand your yearning to become a mom. :(

His answer was maybe one day. That means 10 years from now he may say no I'm too old. If he doesn't commit to it don't wait for him.
