I have a Versace shirt but it's too big for me. Being that it's Versace, its really nice and I don't want to ruin it, but at the same time I would like to somehow shrink the T-Shirt. The shirt has silver foiling on it and I'm scared if I wash it wrong or shrink it somehow, the foil will peel off and the shirt will be wrecked.

In other words, I want to learn how to shrink cotton without ruining the shirt.

Thanks.

Since you're concerned about ruining the shirt, I'd take it to a professional dry cleaner and ask them if it can be shrunk without ruining it. Don't try it yourself.

first make sure that the shirt is wet... then stick it in the dryer for a complete cycle on the highest heat setting. that should shrink it. HOWEVER... I don't know about the silver foiling, and how that will affect it. If I were you, and you liked the shirt that much, I'd take it somewhere and get it altered, just to be on the safe side. Depending on what it is, the alterations shouldn't cost too much.

Try at the shop (they sometimes adjust the clothes)
