I've got a big spot at the top of my nose just next to my eye,causing my eye lid to swell.I look like elephant woman!! i've squeezed the spot and got loads of yellow pus out,but how do i help the swelling go down? i have a date tonight!! Please help!!

TCP is a good powerful antiseptic and should kill the infection. Put that on first.
Toothpaste will dry up your spot. (Make you taste minty too!)
Hope you get it cleared up for your date - avoid make up on that area if possible.
PS Don't worry about the spot - if he is worth going out with he will understand these things happen and love you spots and all.

I think your big spot is a zit. Since youve already started, continue to squeeze out all the puss. Within 10 mins or so some of the swelling will go down. It will still be rather large though. Some ice may bring down the sweliing. If you have a date, put some tinted zit cream over it. It works like makeup but wont make it dirty like makeup will~ it will actually help it heal!

Emergency im telling you now lol
Ok darling this is what your gonna need
1) foundation
2) talcum powder
3) moisturiser
4) cotton bud pads
5) tissue
Here we go Add one blob of foundation on the spot to cover it up
Then Put moisturiser on it . Yes the foundation may go then but it seeps into the skin leaving the cover of the spot not so red.
Then Use a cotton bud to dab any excess puss away from the eye
Then use a smal tissue to rub the spot in circular motions so it stays soft and more likely to go
Then add foundation and all is well
DOnt worry you will look beautiful for ya date

like everyone has said b4, keep squeezing now until you get blood, then clean the spot well and apply a blob of toothpaste to the area. as well as helping reduce the swelling it will also help dry out. in future remember not to squeeze in the first place as now you have made it look 100 times worse. good luck with your date.

Keep ice on it as much as possible throughout the day. I would tell date I have a cyst and am not in the mood to go out. Invite him over for a movie and order Chinese take-out.
Do NOT squeeze it any more until tomorrow. It will swell up worse.

GUY'S POINT OF VIEW
Here's what you do: Squeeze a bit more puss out (since you've already started), then wash your entire face with warm water & soap. Then, wash the bump with warm water & soap but don't rinse the soap off for about a 2 minutes. You'll feel it drying up and drying the skin on the bump. Then, rinse off your face, wait a few minutes, and put on your make-up BUT DON'T PUT MAKE-UP ON THE BUMP or it'll make it worse.
Here's the important part:
When the date shows up, hide your bump (but don't touch it) and say "I have this huge bump on my face so don't look at me." He'll be curious but say "It's big and ugly, and takes up half of my face so I don't want you to see me like this, but I didn't want to cancel because I really wanted to go out with you tonight." Now when he insists on seeing it (he will) tell him "I feel so ugly" and show it to him. On a phychological level - you've just performed magic. Now he'll see it's much less than you built it up to be, and he'll shower you with compliments to prove to you that you're still beatiful (and he'll keep trying to prove it all night because he doesn't want the girl who "really wanted to go out with him" to feel anything less than super-beautiful). He'll even stare at it sometimes as if it were a beauty mark. "Are you staring at my hidious bump?"
He'll say "It's not hidious, nothing about you is hidious, you look great to me."
Trust me, I'm a guy. I know these things.

you need to make sure you carry on squeezing to get the blood then clear stuff out after the pus!! Maybe but something cool on it to sooth it a bit and then put some savlon or something on for a bit then shed loads of concealer!

I don't think you can stop swelling on one day .You need to take problem as it is .Go for your date as long as it is not painful it's ok

See a doctor asap, you might get antibiotics and incising done, don't squeeze the spot by yourself.
