she ate the other sushi but told the waitress she could not have the scallops, so it wouldn't be pregnant would it? I have not noticed this with her before. I did not ask her why she couldn't have them.

perhaps ahe is allergic to something in them.maybe she doesn't like them but doesn't like to say so but says she can't ahve them instead.

The scallops have nothing to do with pregnancy... she is probably just allergic to them. Some people have problems with the iodine in seafood but can eat fish just fine. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about pregnancy; my brother has the same problem with shellfish and obviously he can't get pregnant.

Not sure why the waitress wouldn't let her have the scallops since they are cooked. Where sushi rather sushmi (sp?) is not cooked.

It could be a food aversion,due to morning sickness. Also when pregnant, your not to eat anything at all that is not cooked,due to the baby & mom could get food poisoning or bacteria infections
You're even supposed to limit yourself on tuna intake due to the mercury content.

Its recommended that pregnant women avoid shellfish amongst various other foods...Scallops are shellfish...... If she's pregnant then she should avoid Sushi too really. Mebbe ask her if she's pregnant?

Maybe she doesn't like them or is allergic. If she was that concerned about her eating habits during pregnancy she would not be eating raw fish either.

a lot of folks cant eat shell-fish. some get hives or worse. That's probably why. Why are you going out with your ex?
