I would get the CA internet security suite (formally known as either Vet or E Trust) I have been using it for 9 years. It has real time spyware and virus protection so that it finds and kills spyware, adaware and viruses before they can do any harm as well as a firewall to keep hackers out

Spyware is good at protecting your computer, but nothing beats a virus for double locked, steel reinforced, your-***-ain't gettin'-in here security. Try a trojan horse, they are the best. And make sure you turn your firewall off. Don't need that stupid thing messing up your virus. Also, make sure that you email it you your friends! They too need security of the virus kind I bet! Plus, they will be so happy that you helped them with their security woes. You'll be a hero just like on TV. People will chant your name and even the government will probably come looking for you to give you a big reward! Go you!

Absolutely not. I have one on my home computer system, and then I run other free online virus check programs as backups. You might want to consider getting a program like McAfee or Norton as those are usually even higher quality than the online protection from SBCYahoo and AVG. It is more of the "two the merrier". They aren't "compatible" but they don't run together, they run separate of each other. It shouldn't make things worse.

Use CA internet security suite. It is my only choice. I used it for almost 4 years and no problem with my PC until now. So i believe it is the one i need and recommended to use.

Spy Detector is supposed to be good. I downloaded a free scan today and it found a lot of stuff. If I'd quit letting stuff past Norton I wouldn't have half the problems.
