my best friend is a great guy, only he dsnt treat me the way i treat him. A whileago he was in trouble so i lied for him to make him look good and i looked awful. he cried and said hed be a better mate to me, he hasnt. last night i was at a party and i ran out, other problems, he didnt even bother to contact me to see where i was, i mean i live 4 doors down from where the party was and he cld hav walkedround to see if i was ok. bt he cldnt b bothered. He never texts me spontaniously and i always have to contact him first. He often puts me down infront of people and i feel like cryin, thats womanly bt i dont care, the one person i thought i could rely on keeps letting me down. bt without him my social life wld be shocking,and hes a member of a few clubs i attend too so its impossible not to see him. i want to walk away and have tried before, bt i cldnt. he always puts "gettin with girls" b4 me, and im tired of it. can somone please offer some advice im completely lost.should i ditch him

Until you meet a better friend, hang out with him (or you really wont meet people) and have zero expectations of him. None. Dont expect him to text or check on you. This way you wont be disappointed and youll be pleasantly surprised when and if he does act like a friend.

I so sorry you need a real best friend he is not your friend you are convenient for him when he wants I'm sorry your hurting but if you keep hanging out with this piece of s**t you are going to be hurting a hell of a lot more in the future. Don't turn your self into a liar and degrade yourself why?? why would you?Try to be more independent you must have other people to go out with if not find some just back away.Socially he will be giving you a bad reputation be brave move on.Good luck

is hanging your life with someone and you believe that you can't live without him.
hey sweet look around there are many and many people them dreams is only meeting you, just wake up from your nightmare, don't, the life is to short to spent it search bout other happiness.
just try to be cool, if he make you down be normal be yourself and show for people the bright side of you, the will know after all that he is lair, he just empty guy.
just live your life, no thing deserve your sadness

With friends like him who needs enemies. You make him sound like he is.. I think you are his best friend but he is not yours. Wake up the war is over. He probably wants to end your friendship but wants you to do it out of disgust. Smart minover on his part. Take a hint and take a hike. Get your self some real friends and remember life is to short to waste crying over spilt milk.

man I had the same prob. with my best friend.
The best thing to do is to slowly but surely stop depending and taking risks for your friend. They'll hopefully start to see how much they need you...and if not..then they'll just have to be like all the other friends.
