When a youth commits a crime and is sent to a detention center (or wherever) do you think they should be viewed as kids who made mistakes, and deserve a chance to change OR should they be viewed as criminals who should just do their time and be kept off the streets as long as possible? Not knowing their crime, how would you view a youth who is "locked up?"

i would view him as a child that needs a lot of counseling and love,i would be sorry for the way he was raised that caused him to go wayward,i would believe that he could be rehabilitated faster than a grown man, because he is a child his mind and body is still growing and can be molded.
