When you think about this, you see what Bush and his supporters are really doing to the United States. The occupation in Iraq costs us about $9 billion a month. However, Bush keeps advocating more and more tax cuts. The budget deficit is about $450 billion a year. Our total debt $8.5 trillion. Bush keeps spending money but won't pay the price.
It's incredible how many people want even lower taxes, and at the same time insist that we stay in Iraq. It's like conservatives don't understand what fiscal responsibility is about. So do you people that support running our country this way have a GOOD excuse ?

This makes China really happy. With the budget deficit continually spiralling, we're owing China more and more. Who knows?, the Chinese might be even be hoping that the U.S. would be bogged down in the Iraq war for a long, long time. The war spending will be getting enormous and the budget deficit will continue to mount. And China reaping enormous profits just by sitting it out.

You are paying for it, it's just a matter of where from. You'll have all sorts of reserves that will be drawn from.

Your taxes will go up when you withdraw your troops and it is no longer in the news. As with all politicians, they are managing the US public's perception of the war and the impact it has on their lives is one of those aspects.

Imagine if personal taxes go up, the anti-war element would increase in numbers and activity.
