name. OK He starred in a medical series from that era. Although he played the Director (Head) of the Hospital he played very little role. He was sort of the father figure. He was already in his early 50s' then. He was about 6 Ft tall, caucasian, mostly bold, but quite handsome. He was a big man. Oh yes, he usually wore a beard to detract people from looking at his bold head!

Pernell Roberts was in a series called "Trapper John, M.D." Before that, he played in a series called "Bonanza" as the oldest son, Adam Cartwright.
