The nicest part of Houston would be North Like cy-fair, barker cypress, up by 1960 and 290 very snobbish neighborhoods. or pearland with is south east.

I think many neighborhoods along Memorial are really nice. I lived near Memorial and Westheimer and worked downtown. It was really convenient because I could take the 131 express bus to work. I wouldn't say this is the "nicest" part of town. There are many mansions and gated communities in Houston, but I am assuming that you weren't planning on dropping $6 million:) There is a really nice and affordable apartment complex called Stone Oak that is right next to a Park n Ride (near route 6 and 10). It has more square footage than you find in the inner loop areas and has a more convenient commute to downtown than those between the inner loop and outer loop. You might want to check it out, if you are still looking. I think the management company is equity management. There are also many nice areas closer to downtown.

I think the West part of town is the nicest. In the West there are plenty of great neighborhoods (Bellaire, West University, River Oaks, Memorial, Tanglewood), lots of nice restaurants, and many great shopping districts (Uptown, Westchase, Upper Kirby, Rice Village, Westheimer, and many others.)

I'm going to have to put in a plug for Memorial, which is on the west side. It parallels Katy freeway about a mile south, starting at the loop and going out to Highway 6.

I've lived here, for the most part since the 70s... left, and moved back.

We live in the Spring Branch/Memorial Area. Love it too !!! This is a choice area and we have been here in the same home 38 yrs.and raised 4 children here, now grown and married.

Come visit at our wonderful Second Baptist Church, Voss @ Woodway. Our bible study groups are a great way to meet new friends and this is one friendly church. Dr. Ed Young, our pastor is the greatest.

Welcome to Houston, We wish you happiness & success here.
Stay clear of the SW part of the city, high crime area.
