its a big 1 sided contest, we made it first and used it to show the rest of the world what we could do so we gotta flaunt it and be hypocrites, where on one hand we lecture others about something and then turn around and do it......its bs but thats the US

Don't you want to rethink your question a little bit longer ? Just think of the countries that want to have them and why. Do you think for one minute that North Korea should have them ? Is there any way you think that Iran would not use them ? It is not just any country, it is the type of country that puts nuclear weapons ahead of food clothing, etc for their people. It is the threat to other nations , openly, that has a say in who can be rusted to have them. We have had our nuclear weapons for how many decades / Yes, we used them in WW2 , that was almost 70 years ago. The world today is not that same world. Radicalism is a new threat to civilization and we need to control the areas that are a threat to it.

Because of experience. Knowing the destruction that occurs and having moral dilemmas about the use of nuclear weapons, it is best that not many countries possess them. Having said that, Lord Bertrand Russell, the famous English mathematician, philosopher and pacifist, was against the development of nuclear weapons as he thought that once created, their use would be inevitable.

It's the same country that aired by newsprint and tv that the WTC could only be brought down from the top floors not from the basement where terrorist drove a truck and set off bombs prior to 9/11.
They thought terrorists do not read or watch tv too.

See birth and growth of Public Relations. World War 2; how democracy spread throughout Europe thereafter.
lol First things first. Get your basic understanding that we Americans are not living in a real democracy. IT's socialist. Think of it as in this way; 40% of the all the money you will Ever make, will end up in the bureaucratic wishing well. STOP living the American Dream and wake up to the global Reality!

Having used them and seen first hand what they are capable of, the US doesn't want to see someone so unscrupulous as Saddam Hussen, or Iran acquire them. People with no regard for human life shouldn't have the capability of killing millions of people, because eventually they will.

Because America is protecting America's interests.
Maybe it's selfish, maybe it's unfair, maybe it's flat out wrong.
I don't care, I'm still very, very glad Iran doesn't have nuclear capabilities.

First because they used them to "save" lives. 130,000 to a million [US casualties].
Second since that time in all of the conflicts the US has been in they have not been used again.
Third, Nutcase leaders of countries [N. Korea, Iran] would not hesitate a second to use them again.

Because our government is like a big toddler... we want our way (we can have nukes but no one else can) and if we don't get our way then we pout and stomp our feet.
