1) stop calling him queer
2) don't use his full name in a public forum
3) there is nothing else you need to do...either you want to remain friends or you don't, your choice.

I'm sorry, but what does QUEER mean, does it mean that a purple car is odd or queer, or does it mean a guy likes another guy, or does it mean that a dog with three legs is queer, does it mean that a sex offender is queer, but you are asking a question that should maybe have read.....my friend is GAY, what should I do? Then maybe it would not be so RACIST a question. its like calling black people ******, or white people HONKYS, or any other remarks that make ignorant people like you ask questions like this.

Are you gay?? if not then youy won't be jumping into a relationship with him. You've got nothing to worry about.

Assuming you're a stright guy, get him to help you pick up girls :P

p.s. queer is a term used by most of the gay community to describe themselves here in England, dunno what it's like over in America though.

there is nothing wrong with being friends with a queer. If you that bothers YOU go find a new friend.

If he was a friend before you found out he is gay, then he's still a friend. You, on the other hand may not be what he would consider a friend if you let his being gay come between you.

Not sure what you can do, but I know what your friend should do. Look for a better friend, someone who calls him gay, not queer.

Do nothing! I do not think he expects to be treated differently. Treat him the same way you treated him before. He is your FRIEND! When I told my friend I was gay, I did not expect any special treatment. Though there might be changes but it did not affect the general nature of our friendship.

First of all you can stop calling him "queer".

Second of all, you do just what you've always done. Be his friend.

Accept Eric. If he tries to hit on you you can just let him know it's not your bag.

just except him for who he is there isn't anything you can do to change him. If he asks if he can go out or have sex with you just tell him no it's not happening, and that you guys are just friends
