I've always wanted to have a pet fish, but Iove eating fish. Especially sashimi. Do many people get pet fishies and then become unable to eat them after they die?

Well... You obviously can't eat your pet fish after they die!!!
But that doesn't stop you from having the pleasure of eating fish..
You mat not eat fish for a day or 2 after it dies cos you'll be sad, but after a few days you'll get over it and'll go back to eating fish and when you do it'll taste even better than before!!!
So don't worry... nothing is gonna happan if you buy a fish, life will be exactly the same!!Except for the part where you have to clean the tank and feed 'em.

You have to be extremely careful when eating ornamental fish of any species. The fish are kept in tanks with chemicals and medications to keep them healthy and disease free. These chemicals can be very harmful for humans who decide to eat the fish. Make sure you know what chemicals the fish has been swimming around in.

I used to buy trout from the local hatchery were I live because the water around our erea is pretty dirty. I used to raise them in large tanks feeding them high protien diets and when ever I felt like having fish I'd have a fresh clean supply of fish on hand that was cheaper than buying from the stores.

why dont you keep your pet fish just strictly as pet. you wanna eat fish, then go buy it from outside. If not it's da same as rearing your pet dog and then eating it after it dies. it's insane. just dont do it.

if you feed them the proper food they will be safe to eat.
