Yes, I live in the country and have my own place/space, but I can see three of my four neighbor's houses. We see each other and communicate more in the summer, when we are outside in our yards. One is anti-social, but the other three are nice. It's good to know if I needed them, they would be there, and vice versa.

The neighbors that I have on the right are mean and obviously can't speak unless they are annoyed in some way by our prescence. However, the neighbors we have on the left are quite nice.
