Shares is a term referred to the units of ownership interest provided to the stockholder or owner of a company. The term is often used in connection with the number of units issued to an owner of Common Stock or Preferred Stock.

From the word itself it is clear that your share in the company"s capital or in hindi it may be called "Hissa".
In share the company takes your money and invests it in the companys business.
When a company earns a profit then some part of it is send to you as a dividend.
EXAMPLE:if there are 10 members & each of them invests Rs.100 & if some profit is earned of Rs.30,then each person gets Rs.3 as a dividend.
