That's not for us to decide. I personally don't agree with hanging because in American culture that is considered uncivilized.

But, that is the way it is done there so be it...

As far as him being put to death... I am more upset with the expediency of it than the actual act.

Although Saddam had committed crime against humanity, as a Christian I think its wrong to punish him to die. They should have sentence him to life imprisonment instead.

It seems to me that there are people still walking around that are guilty of far more attrocious war crimes, although he was a very bad person (as I'm sure the Kurds can attest).

That wasn't for me to decide or the American government. It was decided by the Iraqi government. They convicted and hung him. I guess if his own people thought it was right to hang him who are we to disagree.

He was convicted of Murder, and that is punishable by execution. Hanging seems to do the trick in a pinch.
