Get real - if George Bush attempted to suspend elections in the USA there would, for the first time since the 60s be some genuine protests and more likely an actual uprising.

That seems to be what he is doing. First they will draw Iran into the battle, and that will create the necessary "emergency" for suspending elections "until the danger is passed." It is the logical next step to the progression they have followed from the beginning. A resounding "NO" to the question. Even if he creates such a scenario, I think learned Americans are not so gullible anymore. They will kick him out of the power.
