which i have already loaded stuff on, now i cant seem to load from the backed up discs? It loads the title & songs but wont load or play the music with out the disc in the drive?

Aha, you must copy the music/movies first to your hard drive then load it onto iTunes, as iTunes loads music/movies from it's source, which in this case is your DVD drive.

This is a con by I-Tunes to stop you copying the music to other sources, loose the hard drive and pay again..
See if you can get the music again on say limewire.
Now you know why many people do not use I-Tunes.

You can only play the files if the disk is in the drive. iTunes doesn't copy them from the disk to anywhere.
Best answer is to copy them to your hard drive first, then put the files in iTunes
