I think you mean 'mature' faster. I don't think one can make rules about such things. What matters is that the chick and the guy are at the same maturity level, capice?

younger girls see an aging man as a provider and stable so they can have themselves and children provided for. if younger men had the 'provider, stable thing' down at an earlier age, the older guy/younger girl thing would rarely occur. while very young women are more likely to want to set up house earlier than men it is just common for her to seek an older partner. its natural

It doesn't really matter much, but it is slightly better for older woman to date younger men. Partially because men tend to die earlier than woman, and woman tend to peak sexually later in life. Men peak at 19, and woman sometime in their late 20's or earlier 30's.

Huh? Check out your average retirement home and you'll find that it's almost all old ladies. Men age faster and die younger.
