This is a complex question, due to the fact that the length of a coastline is an indeterminate measure. Does a harbor or fjord lengthen a coastline? How big does the concave feature need to be to be considered a part of the coastline? The Gulf of Mexico is big enough, but each inlet along a shore isn't. This is comparable to the circumference of a fractal plane figure.

Its impossible to measure a coastline !

the length depends on the resolution you are measuring

are you measuring in mm ? or in meters, in meters you wont be able to measure curves smaller than one meter

there is no answer on this question every coastline has a length of infinity
