I usually check what type of questions they ask and the type of answers they give (gives an insight into personality) if I find them like minded I will check their profile and take it from there.

I am not ready to add friends to my friends list. I look at other people's pages, and try to get an idea of how to construct my own page, so that it can effectively communicate my personality on the 360 format.
When I am ready, it will probably be people whose pages I admire, and who I seem to have common interests with, based on questions and answers.

You can usually tell from their friends list if they are a good person.

I have to know them or enjoy their music. Nobody else makes the cut. I don't wanna be a friends whore.

i simply check on who's on their frendslist.. if i know any of them & then check their background...
