Cannavaro has been very out of sorts since the WC. It's been 6 months and he has not done the job expected so I cannot agree to him being best defender now. Terry is a great defender also but right now I think the in form defender is Man U's Vidic.

it's terry. cannavaro gets a lot of hype, and he's really really good, but hsi size means he's at a disadvantage against big strong strikers who are as fast. carlos has lost a step, and ferdinand is really big and strong and great at being physical, but he doesn't have quite the top-notch speed. neville isn't always the very best at everything, but he's very very good at everything, he's so consistent and so versatile. in some certain situations others might be better (going against koller i'd take ferdinand), but for a whole season i'd want terry.

Now at the moment I think that Nemanja Vidic (Man U) is the best defender out there, but overall in last few years is Terry!!!!
