Zizou is ALMOST at the level of Pele or Maradonna. I dont think Maradonna is a good role model as his legal ordeals and how he cheated against England. But as a footballer, hes considered very close to Pele's level or at Pele's level.

You cant compare a midfielder with an attacker..but u can say for a midfielder zidane was better than maradona and pele as attackers..as in he probably reached a higher level...maradona was amazingly fast..pele was an extremely active player and the best finisher in the world..zidane without a doubt is the best playmaker..if u disagree ill give u an example..look at his cross against brazil..the one that led to a goal..well id say zidane is the best ever

yes i do think zizou is better. the control that i have seen of zidane on footbal is just excellent . moreover he has won far more matches for his country .france reached the football world cup only because of him. the minute zidane was handed the red card every body lost their hope of france's win. i have started watching football only because of zidane .when i first saw him moving the ball i was awestruck . the ease with which he plays is just amazing. though i have seen not much of pele and maradona i can say that zidane is best, the passion he has for the game,his attacking moves,his goals is sight to watch. i am going to miss zizou too much on the field .

You can't really compare the three because they lived in different generations. But for me, Zidane will definitely be up there on the highest echelons of football. He's magical!
