Air compreser or vacuum that blows.

I also have a gateway laptop. I use qtips and rubbing alcohol for the mouse pad. For the keys, i use premoistened alcohol pads. Alcohol also works like a charm for cleaning all kinds of electronics.

Spray plastics cleaner (or gentle glass cleaner) on a cloth so slightly damp and rub gently. Can also use warm water with a bit of detergent in it, making sure the cloth is not too wet. Wipe dry with other end of cloth.
