I'd rather smell smoke than repulsive odors emanating from my fellow humans any day of the week. Soap is cheap and water is virtually free so there's no reason to stink.

I used to smoke about 3 packs a day. I haven't had a cigarette for more than 20 years, and yet, I don't object to people smoking around me. I think auto exhaust fumes do more damage than a cigarette here and there.

It's amazing how they try to ban smoking when they allow cigarettes to be manufactured and sold in stores. It's kinda like telling people not to breathe. Don't say this or that. Don't go here or there. It's amazing how the world is changing. It's as if someone wants all of us to be of one mind.

Oh that's coming, believe me. But first they want to start with they easy stuff. Then, when you have all the sheepeople saying yes, yes all the time with out really listening to what they are agreeing to. Then you start slipping that kind of stuff in. And then it will be people who walk around bare foot, people who don't shave, guys with long hair, guys with short hair, girls that don't wear dresses, girls that do wear dresses, and the list goes on and on. All be cause we didn't pay attention to what was going on around us. It's like what is a terrorist? It is what ever the government says it is. Oh you hang around that subversive lot on Yahoo Answers? You're a terrorists. If saw the information ATT and Yahoo collect on those of us that use ATT internet it's scary. And they are more than willing to hand it all over to Big Brother. How do you think ATT got there monoply back so quick? It's coming and soon. Me, I'm buying a cave somewhere and hiding out as long as possible.

Just wait, it's on its way. Over 25 years ago there was a smokers' rights publication that stated that once the government got away with smoking bans, that would be the beginning of all kinds of new laws. Back then they were predicting the regulation of cooking oil in restaurants. People thought that was outrageous.

MOST DEFINITELY. And if that doesn't work, make up some wacked out religion that requires you to smoke in public around everyone. It's the same friggin thing.

Because smoke is smoke -- this is easily identifiable and offends a lot of people. It can be measured and smoking can be identified very objectively.

Body odor is a smell. Smells are subjective -- not everyone perceives smell the same way. Whether someone sitnks can not be easily measured, therefore there can be no law to enforce a No Body Odor policy.

because if they did suddenly, this may lead to a revolution. i used to smoke and believe me quitting smoking isn't easy as people may think. so they just have to ban it gradually.
advice: don't even think to try one cigarette from your friends or anybody else, it may lead you to smoking. let's just get our fingers crossed that smoking vanishes from our lives
