I'll try to be serious--I hope the person who said he painted Notre Dame was joking. Do you mean Michelangelo Buonarrati or Michelangelo Caravaggio? With either of these icons of artistry, it's anyones guess as to who "the man" really was.

For Buonarrati, check anything with his name or associated; the guy is the most famous artist in history, bar none: millions travel each year to see his fresco in the Sistine Chapel, nevermind his David and others.

He is an Italian artist which has many work of arts to his name. I think the Notre Dame was painted by him.
