I found out I was pregnant. I went for a regular appointment on December 14th. I went for an ultrasound on December 19th. and saw a healthy 6 week old fetus. It had a strong heartbeat, and the technician said everything looked good. Last wednesday I started having a brown spotting. Told the Dr. and they did another Ultrasound. Showed that the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks, 4 days. No heartbeat. Had a D&C today. Has anyone had this happen to them, and do you know what would cause it? The baby was fine a week before it died. But, I saw it on the second ultrasound, no movement, no heartbeat. Please help! Thank You!

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. The week before that we heard the heartbeat with a doppler. I didn't have any ultrasounds though, but i'd imagine things would of been fine before that. Sometimes, these things happen. They can't say why or anything.... sorry this happened to you! I had a D&C too, and I am proud to say I now have a 20 month old son. I started TTC 3 months after a D&C to give my body time to heal. 1/4 women will have at least 1 miscarriage.

I had a similar case happen, I was further along, over 4 months .Had a normal sonogram and within 2 weeks they told me my baby was dead. I demanded an autopsy which revealed that the baby had caught a virus from me, which was afew days of just not feeling good, but had a worst effect on my baby which caused her organs to shut down, my amniotic fluid started decreasing rapidly (which is baby urine)she stopped growing and she died before birth. They said it wasn't that common but things like that did happen. I know its hard not to rehash it in your mind & feel quilty, but it wasn't you're fault!

This is common. It happened to my niece last year at about the same time. I'm sorry for the pain you're going through right now. But it doesn't mean you can't successfully carry a child. Not at all. My niece is carrying a very healthy little girl now... due in April.

Focus on getting your health back.. and getting emotionally stable... then try again.

Best wishes to you.

My friend has went through the same thing, twice, two miscarriages within a year, she is pregnant again and almost three months a long now,and due in late spring.
It's not hopeless it will happen,no matter how many times your hope, and spirits are tested.
Sometimes These things happen, and are no ones fault, just life taking its course.
