This is a great question, one I've secretly wondered myself. One of the first crushes I ever remember having was on Speed Racer, the cartoon. When I was about 4 or 5 years old I would walk up to the TV screen and kiss Speed. I just thought he was so cute! I've had major crushes on both fictional characters and unattainable celebrities. As a kid I had a major crush on Michael Jackson, of all people (icky). Even as an adult, I had a huge crush on Brad Pitt. I was pretty obsessed for a while. Isn't Jack Dawson like the most perfect romantic, sexy-sweet character ever?
I think its OK to have these secret crushes. They are a fun guilty pleasure as long as you keep it in perspective. When the time and person is right, you will have a real life boyfriend. Just keep a smile on your face and your eyes and heart open. Best wishes!

No you're not abnormal because fictional characters are made to be enticing so that the reader of the novel or viewer of the movie, stays interested in the story and for the character to leave a lasting impression on whoever is exposed to him or her. The writer or author mainly plays on fantasy to have their work and characters stand out among other stories. My fantasy man is from Naruto. His name is Kakashi! He is so mysterious, funny and powerful but don't tell anybody or did I just tell everyone? lol! :-) Also, Goku and Vegeeta from Dragon Ball Z are hot. I like Vegeeta because his bad boy attitude makes him really sexy to me.

I think that is ok as long as you don't dream too much and deny your heart to real guys (if you keep on doing that you'll be alone in the long term)
I also like fictional characters!! like Yuna or Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2
But they are just that a fantasy, maybe not the final one, but still a fantasy

Simple answer. You're not really in love with those characters. You idealize the fictional characters because of what they represent. As long as you can distinguish reality from fiction, there is nothing wrong with liking them. Just reserve the word "love" for something bigger.

Robert Redford as GATSBY, Robert DeNiro as FRANK in "Falling in Love," Richard Gere as IKE in "Runaway Bride,"
Dennis Farina as FONTANA on "Law and Order," oh, a whole bunch of them--Gregory Peck in "Roman Holiday," Humphrey Bogart in the original "Sabrina"...(the list goes on).
I never "fell in love" with any of these characters, but I did want to watch the movies repeatedly for a while. Well, I enjoyed the stories--the guys were icing on the cake.

You sound perfectly normal to me.
Even those of us in a good relationship enjoy the escape a little fantasy or crush provides. We are still waiting for our prince to come riding up on his horse.

A few times
Its healthier to fall for a fictional character than to fall for an actor you don't even know

Oh, yeah, and Chris in the flowers in the Attic sequence. i be attentive to there are others, yet those are what includes innovations good now. Yeah, you ought to stay in the actual international, yet there's no longer something incorrect with having only somewhat a crush on lots of the characters in books. extraordinarily while it is so troublesome to discover adult adult males in actual existence who learn. BTW, I understand you falling for the baddies, yet you ought to take a closer look on the sturdy ones. :-)
