so a few months ago i had one of the scariest dreams. it all started out when me and my mom were in the kitchen late at night turning the lights off and closing the windows so we can go to bed. i looked through the window into my backyard and i saw a shadow of someone hiding. i didnt think much of it, thinking that it was nothing. then something like hit me, figuratively, and me and my mom ran to shut the glass sliding door. while we were doing that my dad was running at us with an axe from outside and was trying to break in. thats when the dream ended. i woke up shaking and wondering what the hell it means. can you pleaseee help?

If you think about how you feel about the three people in the dream, I think you will discover the answer. It doesn't necessarily mean that you are afraid of your dad or that he is a killer.
But you may feel that he is somehow harming your relationship with your mom.
You may have a somewhat "cushy" relationship with her where she is spoiling you a little too much. If that is the case, maybe you know that dad would put a stop to it.
And unless he really is a very bad man, he is right on. So try to appreciate that. Everyone needs to be in the "middle". You need to ask, but not too much. Your mom needs to mother, but not too much and your dad needs to discipline, but not too much.
Hope this helps.

The dream probably has nothing to do with either of your parents. However you do seem to be insecure and the dream means you feel threatened. Have you told your mom. Her response might help you.

What does your father represent to you? only you can figure out your own dreams. For most of us, father's represent security.. with your father attacking you, it would seem like you're afraid of security. Maybe you feel that growing up and making yourself secure with your own job, home and family is scary? In the dream, you were turning off lights and locking doors which is something we do to secure our home.,,you see the pattern? It's not your actual father but what he represents that terrifes you.

it seems you harbor fear and resentment from your dad.... you are scared of what he thinks and what he might do.... talk about it to friends and family and your mom.... it may be nothing and just a dream.... in either case, find your peace....
