I got my IUD removed over a week ago, and I still havent had a period! Is it possible to concieve that quickly? I never had a period while I had the IUD, so I expected to get a period really soon. What do you think?

There are two types of IUDs, a copper one (Paragard) and a progesterone one (Mirena). With the Mirena, it is possible that the progesterone suppresses the growth of the uterine lining, so you may not have a period while using this IUD. After removal, usually within one or two months, your period should resume, although sometimes it can take up to a year before your cycles become normal again. With a copper IUD, your menstrual cycle should return within one month.

I wouldn't worry, but would suggest taking a pregnancy test just to make sure.

That is interesting, I did not know and IUD could take away your period.
