What's the experence like to die in 1st person? Do you feel pain?

It would be in first person (like Doom, Shadow Warrior, Blood and Duke Nukem).

I've died in both third and first person in dreams. I died in first person when I entered my house on a dark night and was shot to death by someone lurking in the shadows. I died in third person when I saw myself enter my car in an empty parking garage, and saw someone jump up from the backseat and slit my throat. It was interesting.

Ive found myself dying in the first person, but never to the point of actual death though.

it can be in both. its never happened to me before, but i remember seeing myself almost dying after an explosion. it was in slow motion and i kept thinking to myself if i was alive or not.
