No Its about a fanatic monk in and around 1915 who acted as a spiritual advisor to the russian Empress Alexandra and Tzar Nicolai He was believed by Alexandra to have helped cure her son ( for a time) of the Haemophilia that had taken quite a toll on his health. Also it was believed that the Empress had an affiar with him. There were many attempts to kill rasputin and I think finally he was shot and stabbed to death.
